Installation
Installation Guide
Installing your Premium Shuffleboard Court Kit is straightforward and user-friendly:
- Prepare the Subfloor: Ensure that your subfloor is clean and free of dirt, dust, grease, or other debris.
- Start in a Corner: Begin installation by placing the tiles in one corner of the area, working your way outward. If installing up to a wall, make sure the female side (loops) of the tile faces away from the wall.
- Lay the Tiles: Arrange the tiles in a perpendicular pattern, filling the area with whole tiles according to your desired size and design.
- Cut to Fit: When you reach an edge, wall, or obstacle, measure and cut the tiles using a tile cutter or table saw. Leave a 3/4” gap between the tiles and the edge of the court or wall to allow for expansion and contraction.
- Finish with Edge Pieces: If you’ve purchased edge pieces, snap them in once the tiles are laid.
- Apply Game Lines: To apply game lines, use painter’s tape or 3M 2060 tape to outline the lines. Use a two-part polyurethane paint for a durable finish.
