Grid-Loc Garage Tiles™ Installation Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Floor

• Ensure your subfloor is clean, dry, and free from any debris.
• Sweep or vacuum the surface to remove dirt and dust.
• No adhesives or underlayment are necessary, as the tiles are designed to float on the floor.
  
  

Step 2: Plan Your Layout

• Measure the area where the tiles will be installed.
• Plan the layout of the tiles by starting from the center or one corner of the room. Use different patterns to customize your design.
• Leave a 1/2" gap between the tiles and walls or any stationary objects to allow for expansion.
  
  

Step 3: Install the Tiles

• Begin snapping the tiles together by aligning the edges and pressing down until they click into place. Use the hidden interlock system to connect each tile.
• Continue laying down tiles, ensuring each tile is securely locked into its neighboring tile.
• For edge pieces or custom shapes, use a utility knife or tile cutter to trim tiles as necessary.
  
  

Step 4: Finish the Installation

• Once the main area is covered, add border tiles to finish the edges.
• If you need to cut tiles around obstacles like poles or drains, use a sharp utility knife.
  
  

Step 5: Maintenance Tips

• Clean the tiles with a broom or mop as needed.
• They are resistant to oil, grease, and antifreeze, but spills should be wiped up promptly for safety.
• Use a jack directly on the concrete floor to avoid damaging the tiles.

Care and Maintenance for Grid-Loc Garage Tiles™

Regular Cleaning:

• Sweep or vacuum the tiles regularly to remove dust, dirt, and debris.
• Mop the floor with a mild detergent and water for a deeper clean. Avoid using harsh chemicals, as they may damage the finish.
• For stubborn stains or oil spills, use a soft brush or non-abrasive pad to scrub the area, then rinse with water.
  
  

Spill Management:

• The tiles are resistant to oil, grease, and antifreeze, but it’s recommended to clean up any spills promptly to avoid slip hazards.
• Simply wipe spills with a rag or mop using a mild cleaning solution.
  
  

Avoiding Damage:

• Although the tiles are durable, they can be damaged by heavy car jacks. Always use your car jack directly on the concrete subfloor.
• Avoid dragging sharp objects across the tiles to prevent surface scratches or damage.
  
  

Tile Replacement:

• If any tile becomes damaged, you can easily replace it by snapping out the damaged tile and clicking a new tile into place.
  
  

Storage Tips:

• If you need to temporarily remove the tiles, store them in a dry, cool place to prevent warping or discoloration.
