Installation
Installation Instructions for Hybrid-X Garage Flooring Tile:
Step 1: Prepare the Subfloor
- Ensure your subfloor is clean, dry, and free from dirt, dust, grease, or any other debris before starting installation.
Step 2: Start Installation
- Begin in the front left corner of the garage.
- Make sure the female side (loops) of the tile is facing away from the wall.
- Snap the tiles together by pressing down until the hidden interlock system clicks into place.
- Continue laying tiles along the left wall and then the adjacent wall, filling the rest of the area with whole tiles.
Step 3: Cutting Tiles
- When you reach a wall or an obstacle, measure the area and cut the tiles to fit using a tile cutter or a power saw with a fine-toothed blade.
- Leave about a 3/4" space between the tiles and the wall or obstruction to allow for expansion.
Step 4: Finishing Touches
- Once all tiles are in place, snap in the edge pieces if needed.
- Ensure all tiles are securely locked together for a smooth, finished look.
Maintenance
Care and Maintenance for Hybrid-X Garage Flooring Tile:
Regular Cleaning:
- Vacuum or sweep any loose crumbs, dust, or debris from the surface of the tiles.
- For tougher dirt or stains, hose off the tiles or damp mop them using a mild soap and water mixture.
Spill Management:
- Gasoline won’t penetrate plastic tiles, but if fuel pools on or under the tiles, they may warp. Clean up fuel spills quickly to prevent warping.
Handling Car Jacks:
- These tiles are not car jack approved. Use your jack directly on the concrete or place a plywood board or steel plate under the jack to avoid damaging the tiles.
Managing Stains:
- While Hybrid-X tiles are chemical resistant, colors can vary between batches, particularly for graphite and gunmetal. Order extra tiles to maintain color continuity for repairs or replacements.
Tile Replacement:
- If any tile becomes damaged, snap out the affected tile and replace it with a new one.
