Installation Instructions for Diamond Nitro Rolls:

Preparation

1. Surface Cleaning:
   • Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and free of debris, grease, oil, and other contaminants.
2. Subfloor Suitability:
   • Do not install over unsealed epoxy paint, gravel, asphalt, or subfloors with imperfections that may telegraph through vinyl sheets.
3. Acclimatization:
   • Allow the Diamond Nitro Rolls to acclimate in the installation area for at least 24 hours at room temperature.

Installation

1. Planning Layout:
   • Unroll the Diamond Nitro Rolls and lay them out in the desired position.
   • Patterns of two rolls may not match up exactly when laid side by side, so plan accordingly.
2. Cutting to Fit:
   • Trim the rolls to fit your space using a utility knife and straight edge.
   • Leave a small gap (approximately 1/4 inch) around the edges to allow for expansion and contraction.
3. Securing the Rolls:
   • For smaller areas, the weight of the rolls may be sufficient to keep them in place.
   • For larger areas or high-traffic zones, use double-sided tape or adhesive around the perimeter and seams for extra stability.
   • Apply the adhesive according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
4. Seaming:
   • When joining two rolls, use a seam sealer to bond the edges together for a smooth, continuous surface.
   • Ensure the seams are tightly butted together and free of gaps.

Post-Installation

1. Rolling:
   • Use a floor roller to ensure the rolls adhere properly and to remove any air bubbles.
2. Initial Cleaning:
   • After installation, clean the floor with a mild soap and water solution to remove any installation debris.
3. Inspection:
   • Inspect the installation to ensure all edges are secure and seams are properly sealed.

Maintenance Instructions for Diamond Nitro Rolls:

Regular Cleaning

• Sweeping or Vacuuming:
  • Regularly sweep or vacuum the rolls to remove loose crumbs, dust, and debris.
• Mild Soap and Water Solution:
  • For more difficult or liquid stains, clean the floor using a mild soap and water solution.
  • Use a broom or vinyl brush to scrub the surface.

Stain Prevention and Removal

• Chemical Stains:
  • Note: This is not a stain-proof product.
  • Leaving certain harsh chemicals on the rolls for an extended time may cause some staining and/or damage.
• Street Tar and Light-Colored Rolls:
  • Street tar can stain light-colored rolls. Use Purple Power cleaner to remedy this.
• Performance Tires and Light-Colored Rolls:
  • Performance tires can cause staining on light-colored rolls, which may not be remedied with a cleaner.
