Installation
Installation Instructions
Installing Mateflex III court tiles is simple and DIY-friendly:
Prepare the Subfloor: Ensure the surface is clean, free of dirt, dust, grease, or any other debris.
Begin Installation: Start in one corner of the area, positioning the female side (loops) of the first tile away from the wall.
Lay Out the Tiles: Arrange the tiles in a perpendicular pattern, covering the entire area according to your design.
Cutting for Edges: When you encounter edges, walls, or obstacles, measure the space and trim the tiles using a sharp utility knife, tile cutter, or table saw. Leave a 3/4” gap between the tiles and any surrounding structures to allow for expansion and contraction.
Edge Installation: Once all tiles are in place, snap in the edge pieces if you have purchased them.
Game Line Application
To apply game lines:
- Use painter's tape or 3M 2060 tape to outline the lines.
- Apply a two-part polyurethane paint for a long-lasting finish.
